Soirée de contes avec Nadyne Bédard
Le pari du silence 2.0
Through life stories, tales and songs, Nadyne Bédard takes us on a spirited voyage of discovery to an era little known to the general public, a golden age of French-Canadian folklore in the 1920s-1940s. She does so by recounting the extraordinary life of her great-grandfather Philias Bédard, who was a farmer in Montérégie, Quebec, an adventurer in the Klondike (Yukon), a storyteller and a star singer! Thanks to her discoveries in the archives and conversations with her aunts, she realizes that Philias' life story is linked to that of an entire community that was committed to preserving our living heritage at the beginning of the 20th century. Between astonishment, laughter and emotion, she gives us a piece of her family's memory, but also of our collective memory, a piece of the history of us all!
