Summer Camps

In addition to Camp Animation Jeunesse, school-aged children have a choice of different types of specialized camps for summertime fun.

Summer 2025

The Summer Camp 2025 brochure will be available from the week of March 17.

Animation Jeunesse

The City's summer day camp is usually attended by over 1,000 children each year, spread across schools in the Vaudreuil-Dorion area. Activities are normally offered over a eight-week period and generally extend from the first week of July to mid-August, Monday to Friday. Animation is provided by a team of students aged 16 to 22, who have training in animation and first aid.

A companion program in leisure is offered to children with special needs who require the support of someone to actively participate in regular day camp activities.

Leisure Integration Program

The Leisure Integration Program aims to provide accommodations for children with special needs who would otherwise be unable to participate in regular day camp activities. It does not replace specialized camps, but offers a service for integration and inclusion in regular day camp programs. This non-specialized integration service is offered to children who meet the eligibility criteria, at no additional cost.

Without being limited to the following examples, this service can take many forms, such as the use of unaccompanied material adaptations, integration into a different age group, or partial or complete integration into a group with the presence of an attendant.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be a citizen of Vaudreuil-Dorion;
  • To be aged 4 to 15 years old as of September 30th of the previous year and have completed at least one school year, including kindergarten;
  • To experience a disability that requires special assistance;
  • To be able to participate in the majority of activities in the current day camp program, with the support of accommodations put in place;
  • The parent or guardian must adhere to the established timeline of the support program and submit their application within the prescribed deadlines.

Please note that meeting these conditions does not automatically guarantee access to the integration program. The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, in collaboration with its partners, will determine whether the integration program will be able to provide the necessary accommodations for the child to have a positive and successful integration experience.

Period to submit an application

All requests received after this period will be analyzed based on the availability of support staff.

This process does not constitute official registration, but rather aims to understand the actual needs for support so that a potential request for financial assistance can be made by the municipality.
