Major projects
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is developing and transforming itself in order to offer a harmonious and sustainable living environment to its citizens. Discover the major projects that will make our vision of tomorrow's City a reality.
Municipal Hub
Having been renting the facilities at 2555 Rue Dutrisac since 1977, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion has long been planning the construction of a new City Hall building. In August 2018, the City acquired Lot 4 559 873 on Émile-Bouchard Street for the purpose of building its municipal hub—a largescale project that will combine City Hall, the library, a public square and the aquatic complex. This site is located near the Vaudreuil train station, in proximity to Centre Multisports, the major highways and the future hospital. The municipal hub is a way for the City to offer centralized services in a high-density sector. Note that 51% of housing in Vaudreuil-Dorion is located less than 2 km from the site and 95% is located at a distance of less than 4 km.

New real estate investments will be encouraged, placing the citizen at the center of priorities, by developing an innovative, healthy, eco-responsible and dynamic living environment.

Fire Station no 11 – De Lotbinière Fire Station
Reconstruction work on fire station no. 11 - De Lotbinière is now complete, with the exception of a few finishing touches. The building has been operational since January 2024.
This is a major project included in the 2020 > 2025 strategic plan under the umbrella project "Revitalizing the Harwood district".
Projet Hôpital Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Over the next few years, the landscape of Vaudreuil-Dorion will be transformed with the arrival of the new Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital. This largescale healthcare facility, with 404 beds, has raised a number of questions. The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Montérégie-Ouest (CISSSMO) has therefore created a Web space dedicated to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital project in order to keep citizens informed of the latest news on the construction of the future hospital.
This Web space includes clear and specific information on various aspects of the project: the framework, clinical plan, overall vision, different stages of the project and more. The site features short videos, press releases, a timeline, a live connection to the construction site and information on the dedicated project team. The public is invited to regularly visit this Web space to follow the project’s progression.
The site chosen for construction of the hospital is located at the crossroads of Highway 30, Highway 40 and Route 340.
Overview of upcoming roadwork in the vicinity of the future hospital
Several road works will be required in the coming months in anticipation of the future hospital of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
