Room Rental Guide

In an effort to make the room rental process easier, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion recently developed a new tool that provides an overview of the options available to citizens, organizations and businesses, and makes it possible to make reservations online. The Rental Guide for Public Rooms is an indispensable tool for anyone wishing to book a room for an event.

Frequently asked questions

I have tried to check availability online, but when I select a specific date, I don't see any rooms. Is this normal?

If no rooms appear for the date you chose, it means that all rooms are already booked. You will need to carry out a new search.

I would like to rent a room every week to offer private lessons, is this possible?

Recurring rentals are only available to organizations recognized under the City’s Politique de reconnaissance et de soutien des organismes culturels, sportifs et communautaires. Citizens, non-residents, private companies, NPOs and Vaudreuil-Dorion Condominium syndicates are not eligible.

Is it possible to reserve a room for the coming weekend?

Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.

How do I reserve a room for the Holidays?

Room rentals for the Holiday season are reserved exclusively for residents of Vaudreuil-Dorion. Those interested in organizing family celebrations, between December 23rd and 31st as well as January 1st and 2nd, must submit their request before noon on October 1st by filling out the corresponding form. Only one registration per address is permitted and the rooms will be assigned by means of a draw. Rates are increased by 30% during this period.

I am looking for a caterer for my event, do you have a local business to recommend?

Unfortunately, we do not provide contact information for catering services in the area.

I plan to serve alcohol at my event, is this permitted?

If you plan to serve or sell alcohol at your event, it must be specified on the form you are requested to fill out.

If it is for a family event (residents or non-residents) with less than 200 people, a permit is not mandatory to serve alcohol. However, the person responsible for renting the room must first obtain the City’s authorization to consume alcohol during the event. If alcohol is to be sold at the family event, then a permit is required even if there are fewer than 200 people.

A permit is also required if the event is open to the public, or if more than 200 people are expected to attend.

If the event is organized by a company or a NPO, a permit is mandatory (to sell or serve alcohol) regardless of the number of people expected.

It will be your responsibility to submit your request to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux to obtain a permit to serve or sell alcohol, at least 15 days before the date of your event.

Once you receive your permit, you will need to email us a copy. You will also be required to have your permit on hand during your event.
