Family and Seniors Policy
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion has chosen to equip itself with an additional tool to promote the well-being of families and seniors on its territory. The objective was to have a concerted frame of reference for the implementation of measures to meet the evolving needs of a diverse population. It was important for the municipality to prioritize the development of children and teenagers in their environment, to support parents, to support the active aging of seniors and their maintenance at home. The tool developed would also promote collaboration with local partners, in addition to allowing intergenerational solidarity. With these objectives in mind, the City undertook the PFM process in parallel with the MADA process, because for the municipal administration, these two approaches naturally went hand in hand.
