Partial opening of the Municipal Hub: Municipal services accessible in the new City Hall as of February 17
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is pleased to announce that, as of February 17, all municipal services currently located at 2555 rue Dutrisac will be transferred to 2000 rue Émile-Bouchard. Residents are invited to use this new address for all administrative purposes. Please note that the next municipal council meeting, scheduled for February 17, has been postponed to February 24 at the Municipal Hub.
Services affected by the move
The following municipal services will now be grouped together at the new address:
- Mairie et direction générale
- Aménagement du territoire
- Communications
- Finances et trésorerie
- Génie et environnement
- Greffe et affaires juridiques
- Ressources humaines
- Technologies de l’information et de la géomatique
Opening hours for municipal services
Opening hours for municipal services remain unchanged, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Access to the new City Hall
Although the move to the new City Hall takes effect on February 17, some of the work at the Municipal Hub will not be completed. The City must, however, vacate the premises at 2555 rue Dutrisac to allow the Cégep de Valleyfield to undertake redevelopment work with a view to enlarging the building.
"Cégep de Valleyfield is taking over all our spaces. To enable the institution to begin the work and be ready to welcome students in the fall of 2025, we have decided to move to the Municipal Hub, even though some of the work has not yet been completed. For the time being, we invite citizens to visit the new City Hall only if they need a municipal service. We understand their eagerness to discover the Municipal Hub, but work is still in progress, which limits access to certain areas. The library will open its doors in the spring, and several events will mark its official inauguration," said Olivier Van Neste, Director General of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Access to the Municipal Hub is via the entrance on the parking lot side. Temporary signage has been put in place to direct visitors.
New and improved telephone service
A new and improved telephone service has been in place for a few days now. In line with the one-stop-shop concept, each call is answered by a municipal employee, to provide the best possible service. The aim of this initiative is to centralize requests, standardize responses and optimize the handling of citizens' queries. Thanks to collaboration between several municipal departments, this project improves the quality of support offered to citizens.
Ultimately, the Municipal Hub will bring together the library, City Hall and a public place on a single site. Citizens are invited to consult the City's website and follow the Facebook page to find out when the library will open.
